Product Development with AI: From Idea to Market in Half the Time

« back to classes page
Learn to greatly accelerate product development using AI tools, from research to pitch, in a two-day, live program. Designed for product managers, innovation leaders, entrepreneurs and founders, engineers and designers, and executives overseeing product or venture teams, this product development with AI  course focuses on execution — not theory — using AI user research (including synthetic interviews), no-code prototyping, micro-experiments, and abductive reasoning with AI to turn ideas into evidence and customer signal in hours, not weeks.

Overview

Rapid doesn’t mean reckless. This program invites AI to the table to develop products not only smarter but faster.

Most teams move too slowly — and build too safely. Today’s pace demands smarter and faster methods. AI is rewriting the rules for how quickly products reach customers. According to McKinsey, companies that effectively adopt generative AI and agile workflows reduce time-to-market by up to 40 percent.

This live, intensive course in AI product development transforms AI from “helpful assistant” to full product-team partner. Guided by expert instructors, you will build the capabilities to surface insights faster (via AI user research and synthetic interviews), frame problems with precision, rapidly prototype multiple concepts using no-code tools, and run micro-experiments to gather real customer feedback signals in hours rather than weeks.

A highlight of the program is the Velocity Showcase, where you’ll turn data into decisions to refine, prototype, and pitch your strongest idea.

These skills enable you to lead AI-augmented product cycles that deliver faster, smarter, and more customer-driven results.

Benefits

By the end of this program, participants will be able to design and execute live market experiments across multiple product ideas, as well as deliver high-fidelity product pitches backed by customer signals.

This product management with AI program will help you:
· Accelerate product development with AI without sacrificing quality or product-market fit.
· Use AI-powered abductive reasoning to pinpoint and frame high-value customer problems.
· Run quick experiments across several ideas simultaneously — using AI to accelerate research, prototyping, and early customer feedback.
· Validate customer needs faster, reducing costly missteps and rework.
· Expand your pipeline of viable concepts and fuel innovation at scale.
· Make evidence-based go/no-go decisions using real customer signals, not assumptions.
· Prioritize features with confidence and craft data-backed pitches that win stakeholder support.

Upon finishing the program, you will earn a Certificate of Completion from the Harvard Division of Continuing Education.

Who Should Enroll

This program is designed for product managers, innovation leaders, entrepreneurs and founders, engineers and designers, and executives overseeing product or venture teams who want to build expertise in AI-enabled product development workflows — applying AI user research, no-code prototyping, and micro-experiments to move from ideas to evidence fast.

Typical roles include:
· Product Managers/Product Owners
· Innovation and R&D Leaders
· Entrepreneurs and Founders
· Engineers and Designers involved in product delivery
· Executives overseeing product or venture teams

Generally, experience is 5–10 years in a product-related or innovation role. Highly motivated newcomers with strong curiosity and comfort with rapid, hands-on learning are also welcome.

Those who are new to product management or have not led product launches are encouraged to enroll in Product Management: From Design to Launch.

Curriculum

Through collaborative exercises, rapid prototyping activities, and real-time experimentation, this program will cover topics such as:
· How AI changes the product development cycle
· Designing AI-generated customer personas and interviews
· Using AI for problem framing and opportunity shaping
· Rapid prototyping using no-code tools
· Running multiple market experiments simultaneously
· Synthesizing feedback using AI tools

FAQs

Do I need a technical or coding background?

No. This is a non-technical, tool-agnostic AI product development course designed for product managers and cross-functional leaders (i.e., an AI product management audience).

How is this different from AI strategy or fundamentals programs?

It’s an execution-focused program for product managers — less theory, more building and testing. Strategy courses go deeper on road-mapping and org change.

Is this suitable for teams or only individuals?

Both. Mixed roles (PMs, designers, engineers, leaders) mirror real product teams and accelerate ai product development workflows.

Please note: We do not allow more than six participants from one organization in a single program. This is to encourage diversity of industry and experience in the classroom.

What outcomes should I expect back at work?

A repeatable sprint playbook, validated concepts, and clearer go/no-go and feature prioritization decisions based on customer signals.

What is abductive reasoning with AI, and why use it in product work?

It’s a practical decision method to move from incomplete data to the most likely explanation. You’ll apply AI-powered abductive reasoning to choose strong directions sooner, then validate with micro-experiments.
